Welcome back to the Limpet blogs! We are always here to supply some label goodness…
In today’s blog we will be discussing one of popular ‘Overpack’ labels which is the ‘Black Overpack Label 50mm x 150mm’. We have a couple of sizes under this category, two being our 100mm x 100mm diamonds and squares and some red 50mm x 150mm labels. The 100mm overpack labels look a little like our ADR Hazard Warning Diamonds, but their purpose is quite different.
An overpack label, as defined in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations is an enclosure used by a single shipper to contain one or more packages and to form one handling unit for convenience of handling and stowage.
Like many of our other self-adhesive labels we supply these on a polypropylene material and a laminate finish. These labels have this spec because they will be needed for outdoor use, meaning they will have to be weather resistant. To ensure that you are getting the absolute best quality from us which we strive for, these labels have the following four properties:
- Excellent weather resistance
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Marine grade adhesive
All our labels are manufactured in house at our factory in North Wales. EVERYTHING that we manufacture is made by our well experienced printers with quick turn around to the highest quality. Because everything is made in house you don’t get any of the pesky additional charges that other companies may charge if they don’t produce their goods in house.
All our self-adhesive Handling and Shipping Labels are laminated and produced on a Polypropylene material. The base material we use conforms with B.S 5609:1986 which is perfect for transport by Road, Rail, Air and Sea. Our Handling and Shipping Labels fully comply with the ADR, RID, IMDG & IATA requirements.
