We can dispatch labels within 24 hours, please note that an extra cost will be charged for the express service and delivery. For more details please contact us on 01978 664 411.

Can you guarantee the delivery date?

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the delivery date due to circumstance beyond our control e.g. carriers not delivering on time, power cuts etc. As a company we aim to dispatch labels one day before the delivery date in order to deliver them on time.

Can you hold stock of annual orders?

We offer a stock holding facility to keep your cost down. Please contact us on 01978 66 44 11 for more details. We produce labels in larger quantities available from stock. You are billed only when you take the labels.

Do you do the label design in-house?

At our site we have a well-equipped and experienced reprographic department that produces all of our customer’s artwork. All of our reprographic team are equipped with the latest Apple Macintosh computers as well as industry standard software and output devices.

Do you manufacture labels for laser printers?

We have a large selection of paper and teslin (synthetic) A4 labels available in many different formats from 1 to 18 labels per page, suitable for almost any office A4 laser printer. Laser sheet labels are an easy and cost-effective way to print your own information.

Do you manufacture labels for outdoor use?

We manufacture labels for outdoor use; laminate or varnish is applied as a protective layer. We produce outdoor labels for Councils and chemicals companies across the UK.

Do you produce all plates in-house?

All colour plates are manufactured in house. This means that not only can we keep a close eye on quality, but we can also keep setup costs down and reduce lead-times.

How do I pay?

How do I place an order?

The best way to place an order is to visit our online shop by clicking here. We have a wide range of labels available through our online shop and accept all major cards as well as Paypal As soon as we process your order you will be sent an email with your order acknowledgement. When your artwork proof is signed off your labels will be dispatched within 5 working days.

How do you ensure good customer service?

We have a dedicated team of helpful and friendly staff who are here to assist you with your order enquiries. Available to visit customers all over the country, our team will liaise with other members of staff to ensure that you always receive your quotes on time, get product specifications, discuss new projects and help sort any technical or special requirements you may have with your labels. To provide an even more efficient service we have a reliance on technology. Our comprehensive, bespoke database is capable of giving our office team all the information they need at the click of a button. We can track orders, arrange proof of delivery, keep track of accounts and view delivery schedules on-screen while we are the phone to you. All of this information at our fingertips means that we will always be able to answer any enquiries quickly and efficiently.

How do you ensure the label quality?

Limpet Labels UK Ltd is ISO 9002 certified. We boast some of the most advanced flexographic and digital printing technology. Our investment programme means we stay at the very forefront of modern printing equipment, ensuring excellent quality and speed which means our labels have a high visual impact. By producing artwork, plates, screens and labels in house we can keep a close eye on quality but we can also keep setup costs down and reduce lead-times.

How environmentally friendly is your company?

As a company we make sure that all our activities are environmentally friendly.

  • Cloths used for the press cleaning are cleaned and send back to be used again.
  • We recycle all cardboard that is collected on a regular basis.
  • We do not use solvent inks, all inks used are UV inks only.
  • Recently we have replaced all company literature by the use of e-mails, including orders acknowledgements, invoices and newsletters to reduce paper usage and of course to save the cost of postage.
  • No unused materials are sent to landfill, they are taken to be profesionally deconstructed at a specialist plant.
How long does it take to receive a quote?

We will endeavour to send a quote within 2 hours from the quote request.

How many cutter do you have in the stock?

We have more than 2,000 cutters in stock in different shapes and sizes. The most suitable cutter will be selected for your labels; if this is not possible we will produce cutters to your requirements at an extra cost.

How much do you charge for artwork?

All artwork is free of charge when placing an order (this does not include design, unless it is a simple design). For companies that need only the label artwork and do not place a label order with us first we charge £25 per hour for basic artwork.

How much do you charge for delivery?

Standard shipping for non-online orders is £16 up to 20kg. Each additional kilogram is an extra 40p. Online orders over £40 have free delivery; on smaller purchases (up to £40) delivery is £6.50 for next day delivery (subject to stock availability and the order being placed before midday).

How much do you charge for plates?

Our plate prices are well below the market average and are all produced in house. This means that not only can we keep a close eye on quality, but we can also keep setup costs down and reduce lead-times.

  • Our process plates (for four colour process labels) are £40.00 each.
  • Line plates (for spot colours labels) are £35.00 each.
How much do you charge per label?

The cost of each label is calculated individually based on the following criteria:

  • Label size
  • Quantity
  • Number of colours
  • Material (for example: outdoor or indoor use)
  • Special requirements (number of sets, annual volumes etc)
Is it possible to receive a sample label before placing an order?

A press trial is available if you need a sample label before the production. Please contact us on 01978 664411 for prices.

What are the advantages of purchasing labels online?

The online shop allows purchasing of stock items (hazard warning diamonds, shipping & handling labels, tactile labels, PAT labels and many more) in smaller quantities at a reduced rate. All products available in stock are dispatched for next day delivery.

What are the lead-times?

For bespoke work our general turnaround for repeat work is 5-7 working days from the proof approval although it is sometimes possible to reduce this if labels are required urgently*. (*Please note that the lead-times may vary slightly if special materials or cutters are required).

The vast majority of our online shop stock is available straight off the shelf, and for orders placed before midday we can usually dispatch them on a next working day delivery service.

All online orders will be delivered within 5 working days from receiving your payment and are sent using a 24hour delivery service (UK mainland only). Offshore and international delivery will take longer depending on the final destination.

If you wish to collect the order yourself, we will ensure your order is ready for collection within 5 working days from receiving your order. Once we have confirmed this you can collect from the factory between 9am – 3pm on Mon – Thurs, and 9am – 1pm on Fridays.

What do I need to do to track my order?

Please contact us on 01978 66 44 11 or email your account manager directly for an update. All online orders are automated and all info will be emailed to you automatically as the order progresses through the various stages of production and dispatch.

What is the maximum number of colours you can print?

We can produce high quality, sharp images up to 7-colours with laminate finish or 6 colours with varnish on a roll. All products printed on sheeted material can have as many colours as you like.

What label specification do I need to know before I ask for a quote?

There are a few label attributes required to enable a quote for your labels:

  • Label size

A wide range of materials is used to suit our customers’ requirements. The basic range includes:

What technology do you use to print labels?

Our presses are manned by a team of operatives with over 15 years experience. Our digital press is the perfect solution for printing high quality labels on lower volumes or for multiple sorts. Do away with the need for plates and keep your costs down on low volumes.

Will I receive a label proof to sign off before you print the labels?

Unless you are placing a repeat order you will be asked to sign off the proof and return back to us. No labels will be printed without the signed proof.
